Genesis 1- 3:24

Creation. What is creation and order? Can you imagine driving on a road system that was not created without order.  roads just go in different directions with no names, no stop lights, lanes just merge into each other with no warning. What if you needed to get to a meeting and you happened to make a wrong turn and ended up on a road that just goes in circles? 

What we see in the first few chapters of Genesis is God taking chaos and disorder and forming a precise well planned out environment. To top it off God did this in just days. It takes civil engineers years and years to develop a working road system, let alone the constant planning for expansion and growth. 

The cherry on top is that God took some dirt from the ground and he breathed into it and formed a perfect working human being in his own image. 

In this creation and order time in the garden, God introduces us to the fact that he wants to walk with us in unity, he wants us to enjoy what he has created.

The flip side to all of this creation and order is that sin is introduced into this perfect working environment. The Devil introduces himself to Adam and Eve and convinces them that there is something more than what they see in the garden. This marks the beginning of all our struggles and sin. 

One Key aspect here that I think get overlooked and is extremely important to Men is in Gen 3:16  God is speaking to Adam and Eve after they have sinned and is explaining to them what their consequence is for their actions he says, “I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.”

Where do you fall in that? Do you let your wife dictate everything in your life? Is she the head of the household? Are you the type of guy that says “Oh I need to check with my wife, you know she is the planner for our family. She is the boss.” 

Its over looked some times or easy to let her take the lead on everything but as men are called to be the Head, that means we are the ones to delegate and manage our family.
