Job 26:1-29:25

Fortune and Fame…. We all want Fortune and Fame (Well not everyone). Well all want more, that may be more knowledge so we go to school, get a degree, bam more knowledge. We want to be successful so we climb the corporate ladder and jump from job to job always looking for the next wrung to climb on to working our way to the top. We want to become better at Golf so we hire a coach and take lesson after lesson until we reach where we want to be. Very rarely do you ever hear anyone wanting more wisdom…

Where does Wisdom come from? It comes from the Lord.. Everything else that we search for is from personal ambitions, personal desires. In order to obtain more wisdom we must die to ourselves.

Jesus says in Luke 9:23

“And he said to all,”If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

James 1:5 says “ If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”

Seeking wisdom requires sacrificing self gain, and submitting to God with prayer.
