Job 30:1-31:40

Friends. They can build us up or they can tear us down. How sweet it is when we can walk with a friend through valley’s in our lives. It’s even sweeter when we can walk with a friend through the mountain tops as well. What is our purpose as a friend? Is it to always tell someone that they are doing life wrong? Is it to stand by and not say anything? What about walking alongside them and offering an open ear?  

“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;”  James 1:19

As believers in Christ we have a friend and he is always with us. Constantly by our side. When we draw near to him he will draw near to us. Whether we are in a valley or a mountain top he is with us. Jesus is the ideal friend we can count on. 
“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you,  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
